Hello, I’m Simoné and I live in South Africa.
I’ve been gluten intolerant / allergic basically since my university years, before the hype of being gluten intolerance was even a ‘thing’. So it was nothing new to me.
To me, it’s not too hard to eat gluten free, there are many ways to make a meal delicious yet have no bad reaction afterwards. One thing that got to me though was as soon as I realized I am lactose intolerant / allergic as well.
This was the part that hit me the hardest – you know, I’m a girl that loves my cheese and my ice cream.
It’s now been 3 years of living gluten and lactose free and the struggle is sometimes real, especially when you’re at a restaurant with friends!
To say the least, that should not be a downer! These days there are so many options to choose from and of course we make up our own meals sometimes – trial and error!
I am truly excited to share all the delicious ways of making a gluten and lactose free diet better than even being ‘normal’.
